Too big for little rievers out there this morning. Check the webcam, don't believe the weatherman.

I was wondering about a DW when it becomes more southerly after 11. Anyone game for that?

Nicholas Cryder Nov 9 #30440

Forget the webcam, I am down at Woods on the boulevard sipping a cappuccino as I watch people run the gauntlet on the boardwalk like its Normandy. Have seen a few senior citizens sprint by with truly surprising mobility, and more than one runner get absolutely clobbered for a lack of wave sense.

Paddling wise, so much debris in the water from this high tide. Buyer beware.

Sooo where was everybody? Turns out it was a great day to be on the water. M.G. was the only other paddler this morning as we left the beach around 10. For a while, the sun came out, the wind calmed and residue waves abounded. Some spots near the Post Point buoy were Gorge like. Judging form the look of things, things have gone a little crazy this afternoon.

I was out at 1:00. Couldn’t round up any folks for a downwind, but very short laps turned out to be surprisingly good.

Yes, it was like the lady said. Not a good day though to paddle anywhere fast upwind in an OC. My laps were shorter. Denise D and Brian F were prepping for a downwinder as I was leaving the park, I forgot to remind them that it gets dark soon.
