As I sit in the Chicago airport awaiting my flight to Europe for the U23 World Championships I wanted to take a moment to reflect and thank our community and coaches. I would not be where I am today or with the success I have found without the help and support of everyone in our community. As I sit in the Chicago airport awaiting my flight to Europe for the U23 World Championships I wanted to take a moment to reflect and thank our community and coaches. -For those who have not been up to date with my racing I recently competed at both the ICF Super Cup and US Sprint National Championships. The ICF Super Cup is an invitational showcase event that featured the vast majority of Tokyo 2020 Olympic medalists as well as additional finalists (The only reason I achieved a spot was due to the US being the host nation and COVID travel restrictions blocking a portion of the athletes from attending). In this event I competed in the ~1000m Portage (https://www.instagram.com/tv/CS2FnnwFY_-/?utm_medium=copy_link) event and the 350m Sprint (https://youtu.be/PvDx7mERYAQ @ 44:09) which I placed 4th and 7th respectively. Directly after the end of the ICF Super Cup I began competition at the US National Championships. I competed in the Senior or Open division of Men’s K1 in the 5000m, 1000m, 500m, and 200m. In each of these events I claimed the national title.+For those who have not been up to date with my racing I recently competed at both the ICF Super Cup and US Sprint National Championships.
