Since Beau's Gopro failed us, I had to post this video by Dana Point, who ended up beating us by about a minute. This is the beginning of the race where it was absolutely cooking with winds above 30 mph. Note the 400lb spec canoe jump out into the lead in the big bumps. They were however later passed by the first 5 unlimited canoes when the conditions subsided.

It was an amazing run in the spec boat while the wind was cranking. Sadly the wind did not last therefor we didn't get to surf much .
