Race #2 shifts the series into high gear with a downwind course. Wind is just beginning to build and looks to be in the moderate range (10-12 knots) by race time. To keep things fun and simple we will begin at Marine Park and paddle to the start line at the RR tunnel. The course will finish at the small boat dock at Zuanich Park, just inside Squalicum Harbor. Shuttles will be provided back to Fairhaven.
PFDs and leashes are required. Fat boat rules will still apply but modified slightly: +1 point for every inch over 18” (to include -R, Sport, 8 Pro, etc.). Weedless rudders and weed guards are highly recommend. It’s a jungle out there!
Please be ready to get on the water by 5:45 as it will take about 15 minutes to paddle to the start line.

Here are the preliminary results from tonight’s race. I’ll get a full recap and updates on series standings sometime tomorrow. Great racing everyone! Hope you enjoyed the weather and conditions

Sorry to miss the downwinder Th, but I did a small one here from Conary Island to Center Harbor, ~2.5 mi.
Fat boat: yes. A Wilderness Systems Sealutions II, plastic sea kayak (16'6“ L x 22” W)
Photo shows the course out. Course back was straight line from south to north. Finish was in one of the prettier harbors around, even in the fog.
