    • Use the Real-time map to view last reported ship positions anywhere in the world.

    • AIS apps if you want to track AIS id ships with you phone?
  • Ports
    • Look up the port you are interested in using the search box at the top right hand of the Marine Traffic website. You can watch recent departures from your port, expected arrival and departure times seems to be a pay-for-service deal - so maybe better to guesstimate when ships will be generating wakes in your area - using last reported ship positions from the Marine Traffic map or recent departure times if they give you enough lead time to get on the water before they will pass by.
